There are a few steps that one can follow for business and investor visas for Thailand;
Required Document
An ordinary passport holder wishing to enter the Kingdom to do business or work must obtain a B nonimmigrant visa.
1. A Nonimmigrant B Visa is required for ordinary passport holders who desire to enter the Kingdom to conduct business or work.
2. A photograph of the applicant taken within the last six months.
3. A letter from a corporation outlining the purpose of the visit to Thailand or a document demonstrating correspondence with Thai trading partners. (For example, a letter verifying personnel data, a business registration, or a business license from a Thai partner company).
4. Letter of invitation from a Thai commercial company.
Employment/ Working in Thailand
1. A passport or travel document valid for at least six months. A one-year visa application requires an 18-month validity period.
2. A photograph of the applicant taken within the last six months.
3. A letter of approval from the Ministry of Labour is required to get an Employment Visa. (To get this letter, the prospective employer must submit Form WP3 to the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, or a Provincial Employment Office in the corresponding province in Thailand. 4. An employment contract outlining the reasons for hiring the applicant and their salary, position, and qualifications. (The document must be signed by an authorized managing director and bear the corporate seal).
5. A copy of the Ministry of Labour’s Work Permit. (Only if the applicant previously worked in the Kingdom).
6. Copies of the applicant’s school records and letters of recommendation from previous employers, including job description and duration of service time.
Working in Thailand
1. A passport or travel document valid for at least six months.
2. A recent (within the previous six months) photograph of the candidate.
3. The recruiting company’s business registration and licensing in Thailand.
4. A letter from the company verifying your internship/participation.
Internship (Non-Curricular internship)
The document that needs to be sent with a visa application depends on how necessary and appropriate the reasons given on the application form are. Copies of company documents must have the company’s seal and be signed by the Board of Directors. If you need the required record, you must send a letter explaining why you don’t. The applicant must sign each page of the document. Also, documents written in a language other than Thai must be translated into Thai. If it was translated into English, it should be signed by a notary or the diplomatic/consular mission of the applicant.
Validity of a Visa
A three-month single-entry visa is valid. A multiple-entry access validity period might range from three months to one year.
Advice
Visa applicants must submit their applications 15 days before their desired travel date to Thailand.
