On Saturday, March 29th, Central Festival opened its doors and invited everyone to enjoy a new shopping experience on Koh Samui. Central Festival is CPN’s first themed mall model designed under what they call “Reminiscent of the Southern Lifestyle,” offering new shopping experiences in a world-class attraction.” They hope this new attraction will help Thailand become Asia’s tourism capital and make Samui a premier beach destination. The mall will be built on a 37 rai plot with a total project area of 90,000 m2. The approximate investment in this project is 3,450 million baht.
The project’s target market is affluent tourists, as there are currently more than 500 hotels with 19,500 rooms, more than half of which are four and five-star hotels.
Lifestyle Shopping Complex in Chaweng
Central Festival Samui is one of Koh Samui’s largest and most comprehensive lifestyle resorts. With three floors and around 90,000 square meters of retail space, there is no better way to describe this shopping and gastronomy center. It features restaurants and bars in and around a large outdoor terrace, including Starbucks, The Coffee Club, a cocktail lounge, The Kitchen Thai and Wine Connection, and a total of more than two dozen specialty food and drinks venues spread over two floors. The Bird Cage is the trendiest area of the complex and is located in the central part of the mall. Decorated in an ultra-modern Chinese style. Portuguese-style houses around 20 major stores, such as Supersports and Uniqlo. There are smaller boutiques of well-known international brands such as Adidas, Camel, Esprit, Geox, Playboy, Rip Curl, Jim Thompson, and X-Act.

The Fisherman Village neighborhood is home to the Central Department Store, a massive shopper’s paradise where you’ll find a variety of designer clothing and accessories, as well as a playground and lounge area for parents. The last area: Beach Town Market – is the second main entrance of the complex. It is located at its northern end, next to Peru Chaweng Public Park. A partially open-air food court is on the ground floor, while a game room is on the second floor.
