Hin Lad Waterfall Temple (Wat Namtok Hin Lad) is a Buddhist sanctuary in an evergreen tropical jungle just before a path leading to the famous Hin Lad Waterfall. It is located about 3.1 km southeast of the town of Nathon on Koh Samui. Strolling around Hin Lad Waterfall Temple can be very enjoyable as there are many places to practice your photography skills. This forest monastery is often busy on weekends: locals visit the temple to earn merit and enjoy a picnic by the nearby waterfall.

The temple is well-shaded and quiet, making it a great place to sit back and relax. It has a beautiful garden, a walking path, various Buddha images, religious sculptures, and a meditation area.

A few kilometers south of Nathon Town, Samui, Hin Lad Waterfall is a beautiful natural beauty set amid streams and mountains. With beauty bubbling from every corner, Hin Lad Waterfall promises an afternoon of bliss. After hiking the challenging trail to the waterfall, reward yourself with a leisurely dip in the pool below.

Location

Hin Lat Waterfall is located in Lipa Noi, 10 minutes from the town of Nathon on Koh Samui. The waterfall is located between the beaches of Nathon and Thong Yang, in the lush tropical mountains south of the island. Follow 4172, and the waterfall is signposted. There are colorful flowers and coconut plantations around Hin Lat Waterfall. Dense jungle stretching over 3 km.

The falls are accessible by scooter or car; parking is available. At the base, there is a small restaurant for refreshments. The waterfall and the temple make you feel very close to nature; it’s a tropical paradise.

Hin Lad Waterfall Temple is a small and tranquil temple located to the left of the Hin Lad Waterfall path. Cross the bridge and stop to feed the fish (you can buy food at a restaurant near the bridge). An interesting Buddha statue sits to the far right in a small natural alcove carved into the side of a large rock, surrounded by lush vegetation.
