Tourists love Kathu Waterfall for its many layers of clear, cascading water. It’s a perfect spot for a picnic. , surrounded by the sound of the gurgling water and the green canopy. Kathu Waterfall is a cascading pool best seen during Phuket’s rainy season. What to do at Kathu waterfall?

Kathu Waterfall is small but attractive during the rainy season when the strong current and tropical vegetation are thick and green. It’s more pleasant than the larger Tonsai and Bang Pae falls, and entry is free. The waterfall can be disappointing if you need to know where and when to go. For a long time, we thought it was just a tiny trickle, and most people would agree that it; Not worth visiting this waterfall. But something was wrong, and we decided to give it a second chance, and we were right: Kathu waterfall is worth a stop as long as you go during the rainy season!

The falls are divided into two areas. The one on the left is little more than a watercourse that forms a natural pool where children love to play. The actual falls are to the right of the parking lot, crossing a small bridge and going up a 130-meter staircase. This first level of Kathu waterfall is beautiful during the rainy season; A nice steady flow of water cascading down the rocks creates a sizeable pool of sand. But don’t stop there; The second level, still accessible via a concrete walkway, is more petite but more natural. Teens love to hang out, have a picnic and have a good time.

Restaurant:

Once you are done with your jungle trek, consider having lunch at the waterfall restaurant “Pai Lin Restaurant” (Blue Sapphire). Pailin is a typically local Thai restaurant; It’s great to try something different and sound, just the way Thai people like it.
