Na Muang Falls, a majestic cluster of 2 waterfalls on Koh Samui, shows that the island’s beauty is not limited to its beaches. Na Muang Falls is about 12 km inland from Nathon Bay and can be reached via a trail from the park entrance. While you’re nearby, we recommend heading to Lipa Noi Beach to watch the sunset. If you are looking for transportation to and from Koh Samui, you can book all your transfers to Lomprayah in advance. As with any tourist attraction on Ko Samui, the path to the attraction is lined with stalls selling various traditional handicraft products. Thai food. Namuang Waterfall 2 is much more impressive, gushing from 80m. What makes this waterfall so beautiful and picturesque is the jungle backdrop and the natural light that filters through the treetops.
There is also a 20m high twin falls to the enormous waterfall with a pool suitable for swimming. It can only be reached by trekking through the jungle on foot or by an elephant.
Highlights and features of Na Mueang Waterfalls
Na Muang Falls is nestled in a lush jungle setting, easily accessible from the main ring road (Route 4169), about halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach. Visitors with a reasonable level of fitness can walk to the falls. The trails to the falls can be steep or slippery in places, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes and exercise caution when walking. Na Muang 1 can be reached by walking 100 meters from the parking lot, while Na Muang 2 is another 100 meters on a more challenging path. Although access to the falls is free, there are plenty of ways to spend your money along the way, including several stalls selling snacks and souvenirs, and listings for a
guided tour of the area (but beware of vendors trying to convince you that a guide or paying an entrance fee is required).
A full day can be spent swimming, hiking, exploring, and picnicking at the falls. It’s an excellent and quiet alternative to the beach.
