Tri Trang Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Patong, is the best place for sun lovers. This 500-meter-long north-facing beach has a very open feel as there are no trees along the shore, making it the perfect spot for sunbathing. It is located close to the famous Marriott Merlin Beach Resort and just a short drive from Phuket Town. Besides the popular choice for sunbathing, you can find many traditional Thai massage centers, jet skis, snorkeling spots, kayaking, and parasailing activities around the beach. There are also a couple of beach chairs to sit and relax overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Tri Trang Beach is a quiet and secluded place, ideal for sun lovers. The 500-meter-long, north-facing beach hugs the headland south of Patong, making it conveniently close to the popular resort. Yet far enough away to be an oasis of calm. It is particularly popular with guests staying at the Marriott Merlin Beach Resort as it is the closest large beach. Unlike other sunbathing spots in Phuket, Tri Trang has a very genuine vibe, as there are no trees on the beach to provide shade, making it a site for the truly dedicated sun worshipper. However, you can relax in the shade near the restaurant or at the end of the resort toilets on the beach.
