Tub Kaek Beach is a secluded spot 28 km from Krabi town and is an ideal place to escape from the town’s crowded beaches. Exotic landscapes surround it with a lush and deep forest. This unknown paradise of white sand and turquoise Andaman water is adorned on all sides with a beautiful, irregularly shaped island. Tubkaek Beach is famous for being featured in the film Hangover 2 for the beach wedding scenes. The stunning beach is shallow, no deeper than 600 meters. How to get to Tub Kaek Beach
Tub Kaek Beach is located at the western end of the Krabi region and can be reached in about half an hour by car or moped from Ao Nang Nopparat Thara. It takes about 40 minutes from Krabi Town and about 50 minutes from Krabi Airport. Come here. The only available transportation is the taxi, private car, or scooter rental, making Tubkaek Beach a more secluded and exclusive area in Krabi. Therefore, you will find mainly luxury resorts along the beach and generally fewer tourists.
What to expect at Tubkaek beach
At Tubkaek Beach, you can expect an (almost) empty beach with no longtail boats docking offshore. An idyllic and tranquil beach, a beautiful turquoise sea, and great views of offshore Pak Bia Islands and Hong Island. A quieter and more relaxing getaway away from the tourist spots like Ao Nang Beach and Railay.
If you are hungry, you can have lunch or dinner in some of the luxurious hotel restaurants, most of which are open to the public. Each resort in Tubkaek has its own “private” beach stretch, but you can go anywhere you want. So if you fancy a luxurious experience, you can enjoy quality food combined with some of the best views in Thailand at one of the luxury resorts. When you walk along this beach, there is a minimal chance that you will see pollution such as plastic or other litter. Clear, calm, and shallow, ideal for swimming, even for children! The beach narrows at high tide, but these are the perfect circumstances to explore the bay by kayak or stand-up paddle board. In the northern part of the beach, you enter the nature reserve.
