The temple is very popular with Thai civilians who visit this place to donate money for the coffins of the deceased, but unfortunately, they have no relatives who can buy them a coffin. Architecture of Wat Hua Lamphong

How to Reach Wat Hua Lamphong Temple 

Wat Hua Lamphong is located on Rama IV Road, close to the capital’s business district and just a few minutes walk from the famous Lumbini Park. The nearest MRT station is Sam Yan Station, the entrance outside the temple complex’s main gate. You can take a short taxi to get here from MBK. Alternatively, you can take the Skytrain and get off at Saladaeng station, where the temple complex is a short walk away.

Making Coffin Donations

Wat Hua Lamphong Temple is universally revered, as many people donate to sections of society who cannot afford a coffin after their death. Don’t forget to get involved in this charitable event! There is no minimum donation amount, but a typical coffin costs around 500 baht. The donation process is also straightforward. There is a pink sheet where you can fill in your details.

This pink slip must be given to one of the staff members at the counter, who will issue a receipt with your name on it. Glue the receipt and the pink sheet to the surface of the coffins shown there using the supplied glue.

The best time to visit is early morning so that you can experience the beauty of the temple in contemplative silence.
